Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We hereby extend a warm invitation to you to attend our seventeenth annual Johannesburg Dermatopathology Symposium, which for 2024 will be convened under the auspices of the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg and the African Dermatopathology Society. This three-hour virtual meeting will take place on Saturday, 20 January 2024 via the Zoom platform.

The CPD accredited Symposium is free of charge, and will encompass the following:

• A session on diagnostic clues in Dermatopathology, comprising a series of succinct but informative talks on a variety of useful histological clues. A session of this nature has proved to be very popular and successful at recent International Society of Dermatopathology Meetings.

• A short lecture on the role of electron microscopy in Dermatopathology. This often-overlooked topic is aimed specifically at Histopathology and Dermatology Registrars who are preparing for their Fellowship examinations.

• A slide seminar comprising a series of diagnostically challenging and informative cases. Delegates will be able to preview the scanned digital/virtual slides via link that will be shared with them following registration for the meeting.

The day’s programme is designed to be of interest to Histopathologists and Dermatologists alike; furthermore, it is intended to be instructive and informative to both experienced colleagues and those who are relatively new to these disciplines.

Prior online registration for the 2024 Combined Meeting/ Symposium is obligatory.  

The deadline for registration is Thursday, 18 January 2024.
