2025 Online Johannesburg Dermatopathology Symposium
“Back to Basics”

Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We hereby extend a warm invitation to you to attend our eighteenth annual Johannesburg Dermatopathology Symposium, which will again be convened under the auspices of the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg. This three-hour virtual meeting will take place on Saturday, 18 January 2025 via the Zoom platform.

The theme of the 2025 CPD accredited Symposium is “Back to Basics”. It will encompass insightful, practical lectures addressing the following topics:

·    An approach to cutaneous cysts

·    Histochemical stains & their diagnostic applications in dermatopathology

·    An approach to granulomatous skin disorders

·    An approach to melanocytic naevi

·    Immunofluorescence studies: Principles and practice

The day’s programme is specifically designed to be of interest to Histopathology and Dermatology Registrars alike, and especially those who are relatively new to these disciplines.

A nominal registration fee of R150 is being charged to cover the administrative costs.
